Altwidus Braung

Altwidus Braung is a glass blower living and working in The Bottoms. While his craft is somewhat higher class that one would expect for the neighborhood, he does a fair amount of business with travelling merchants, and his son and apprentice, Hartwin, often sets up a booth in the Shantytown Market to cater to them.

Altwidus is well regarded in The Bottoms, both for his skill as an artisan and generosity towards his neighbors, and for his youth as a soldier in Legio X Equestris, where he served with distinction as a Centurion and was awarded the Crown of Valor for leading his century over the walls of the Saxon city of Ratisbona, and forcing open the gates to win the assault. He is humble about his exploits, but displays the crown with pride in his shop.

Hartwin is an earnest young man, already skilled in glass smithing, and a skilled barterer. He idolizes his father, and wants to be more like him, but has shown little aptitude for the military life. He is known to be somewhat touchy on the subject.
