Guild of Arcane Lore

The Guild of Arcane Lore provides magical services to the city, the Governor, and the empire. It also serves to regulate the practice of magic, by its members or anyone else, and generally does so very strictly, with harsh punishment for those who break the rules or the law (again, members or not).

The current Guildmaster is Quinius Juncantonia, an ancient, wizened man with an aura of raw power about him. Quinius is widely viewed as a bit scatter brained, but good hearted, and has been known to make a principled stand in defense of the common folk of Pumpossa on occasion (sometimes over issues the common folk themselves care little about). He is tall, painfully thin, speaks with a stutter, and never appears without his wizard’s robes (which are adorned with magical runes in gold and silver thread, with occasional bits of gems sewn in). He is generally well regarded by other Decurions and by the public, but because of his mystical air of power and absentmindedness, few like dealing with him face to face. He attends the Curia meetings himself, mostly quietly and a bit confused, but occasionally railing at some perceived injustice.
